Subject: How frequent to lubricate the Front Guide Rail & Rear Support Rail (on F,G,VLF Models)

Notice:

Lubrication on CRON CTP's front guide rail & rear support rail is one of the essential maintenance procedure needs to be carried out frequently at least once every 3 months on F,G,VLF models using Linear Motor, compares with other models using Lead Screw shaft.

Typically on G,VLF model which its Carriage platform could be weighted about 19-22KG (depends on no.of channels), may have movement resistance or motion inconsistency when front guide rail is lack of lubrication grease. In result, Carriage inconsistency movement could cause random fine white and/or black lines appears on certain areas on plate or across the plate exposed.

Very often, some service engineer mistakenly this symptom as a result of bad Laser Diodes, defected laser driver boards or inconsistency power supply in Laser Box.

Therefore CRON strongly advised that lubrication on F/G/VLF models to be frequently carried out to avoid the unnecessary plate exposure issue mentioned above. Before lubrication, please clean and remove old grease on guide rail and support rail before applying the new fresh grease. Lubrication or the white grease supplied with every CTP unit should be kept at side for the above maintenance procedure.
